Eligibility
-
Essential Qualification-
Post Graduate Degree and Ph.D. in Library and Information Science/
documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC
seven points scale and consistently good academic record set out in these
Regulations.
An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the discipline mentioned
against the post details and published work of high quality, actively engaged in
research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as
books and/or research/policy papers
Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the discipline mentioned against
the post details. ,Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point
scale wherever grading system is followed).
Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%
marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is
followed) at the
Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an
equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university with a Ph.D. Degree in the
discipline mentioned against the post details.

According to the prevalent provisions (from serial no. 2 to 4) concerning the retirement, persons
having age up-to 63 years can apply. Age calculation will be done on the basis of age as on
01.01.2017.
Candidates whose third issue is born after 26.01.2001 (in case of twins, they will be considered as one
unit) are not eligible to apply. Similarly, female candidates who married before the age of 18 years
and male candidates married the age of 21 years are not eligible to apply.
